Cerestar, the world's leading producer of starch and starch derived products, will be demonstrating its commitment to the Japanese food processing industry at IFIA 1999 with the launch of a range of new speciality starches.
Following the great success of C*Eridex, the low calorie bulk sweetener erythritol, in the Japanese food market, Cerestar will be enhancing its range of polyols at this year's show with the introduction of C*Maltidex C isolmalt. This is a sugar replacer especially suitable for producing sugar-free hard candies which do not have to be individually wrapped.
Also on display on Cerestar's stand XX will be:
ˇ C*Eridex for powder-filled hard candies. ˇ C*BatterCrisp for low fat, crispy coatings on fish and meat products ˇ C*PolarTex for desserts, fruit preparations and sauces ˇ C*NuTex for an improved, smoother texture in the manufacture of udon noodles ˇ C*Tex for a variety of food processing applications, including soya sauce and soups ˇ C*CreamTex, specially developed with deep freeze stability for use in frozen sauces and yoghurt desserts ˇ C*DryCream maltodextrins for use as a skimmed milk powder replacer.
These are just a part of Cerestar's extensive product portfolio, which also includes a wide range of other polyols, spray-dried maltodextrins, anhydrous and monohydrous dextrose, vital gluten, dextrins and pregelatinised starches.
A full food application development service is now available from Cerestar Japan's office in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
